Hope your New Year has come to a good start.
On December 9, 2009 at 9:00 am. I presented the Filipino Friendship Society’s charity donation of $151.00 (at P45.60 = $1.00) rounded to P7000.00 (seven thousand pesos) check to the current ABS-CBN Acct. Executive, Monica Tambuyat in San Fernando City, La Union ABS-CBN (network). This is for the flood victims of typhoons Pepeng and Ondoy collected during our Holiday Celebration on November 22, 2009. At the party, we feasted on a superb meal with turkey and traditional Filipino dishes. The FFS members and friends are very grateful for the unexpected D.J. music and vocal renditions by Jonathan Villas and his wife. It really brightened and lifted up our spirits for the holidays.
The framed pictures from our 34th Annual Gala on September 26, 2009, were distributed to friends and family made our FFS celebrations very memorable. Thanks for everyone’s hard work and participation.
And many thanks to our choreographers and dance instructors; Zeny N. Acierto, Annie Deato And Delia de Guzman, and all the dancers, most especially for our “Red Hot Dancers” that had gained popularity and request for repeat performances by other organizations.
Although I’m not with you for the holidays, I’ll be continuing our goodwill mission here in the Philippines.
