October is Filipino American History Month

Mayor Roger Claar proclaimed (yesterday) on September 25, 2012, that October will be Filipino American History Month in the Village of Bolingbrook. The Mayor read this Proclamation during the Village Council's regular meeting at the the Village Session Hall. A delegation of Filipino Friendship Society members led by FFS President Antonio Amante, were there to witness this historic event.

September 25 FAHM Proclamation in Bolingbrook

October is Filipino American History Month

Great news! Mayor Roger Claar of Bolingbrook will proclaim October as the Filipino American History Month in the Village of Bolingbrook. The Mayor himself will read the historic Proclamation on Tuesday, September 25 at 8:00 p.m. during the Village Council's regular meeting at the the Village Session Hall, adjacent to the Mayor's office. The address is 375 West Briarcliff Road, Bolingbrook, IL 60440. It is located in the west building, rightmost of 3 buildings. Let us all be there to witness, support and celebrate the proclamation. This is going to be the 3rd of such proclamation by a city or village in the state of Illinois. The first and second were in Chicago and Skokie. Please invite your friends.
